JASON Learning’s STEM to WORC regional training conference is for K-12 educators, administrators, stakeholders, superintendents, and their teams to come together and discuss best practices, do hands-on training, site visits, and strategize how to help students explore and plan for their future careers through STEM learning.
The careers growing in Ohio require STEM thinking and problem solving. This conference highlights a multitude of ways teachers can create opportunities for their classrooms to introduce students at all ages to the world of work in preparation for postgraduate success: including entrepreneurship, career and technical education (CTE), community college, college/university, apprenticeships, internships, military service, and more.
Career pathways are based on a variety of factors, including the type of work available in local economies and the skills employers need, there is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Specific to Appalachian Ohio, JASON Learning has developed advanced manufacturing content to support students learning more about the skills needed for success in that industry.
