Pamela was a student argonaut during JASON X. She lived in Peru and had never been in the rainforest in her own backyard. Through her JASON Argo experience, Pamela discovered that she wanted to learn more, find ways to help her community, and protect the rainforest. She recently completed a doctoral program at the University of Florida focusing on the relationship between ecotourism and local communities and is heading back to Peru soon to begin her work.
