Keeping it Cold!

During this challenge, students in Grades 3–5 take on a real-world challenge: design a storage device that keeps vaccines cold and safe for delivery. Through a guided, age-appropriate Engineering Design Process (EDP), students explore the physical properties of materials, states of matter, and the science of heating and cooling—all while developing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
