JASON Implementation Training Event
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Increased interconnectivity and innovation are rapidly changing our technologies, industries, processes, and even the way we live, work, and relate to each other. In both our personal and professional lives, we depend more and more on automated systems, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and new, innovative applications and technologies – all of which are imagined and designed by individuals who understand the fundamentals of how things work. Critical to thriving in this knowledge economy – where deeper understanding drives technological innovation and advancement – are STEM habits of mind and life skills that allow students to learn and engage with the world around them more thoughtfully and effectively: analytical thinking, creativity, complex problem-solving, data analysis and evaluation, systems thinking, resilience and flexibility. When students can apply STEM thinking to solve real world problems in their local communities, learning comes alive. Engaging with local businesses, organizations, and individuals provides opportunities for students to apply learning, figure out solutions to complex problems, and make positive contributions to society. Community support and buy-in is essential.
This year’s regional conferences offer opportunities for district leadership and educators alike to come together and explore, learn, and share ways to provide our students meaningful experiences that will help them thrive in the knowledge economy and be connected into the community. Each event includes plenary sessions, hands-on workshop sessions, panel discussions, optional field adventures, and opportunities to network and share.
* Individuals should check with their district administrators before registering to find out if you are eligible for a prepaid slot. Click on the links below to see more details about each event.
