NEWS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ASHBURN, VA (February 3rd, 2023) — JASON Learning, a national STEM education nonprofit, proudly announces its partnership with the National Head Start Association (NHSA), a leader in early childhood development and education.

For young learners, STEM is a way of experiencing the world that is creative, inquisitive, and persistent. The commitment to STEM education must begin during early childhood when children first begin to engage curious minds and investigate the world around them.

Early STEM experiences prepare students with lifelong skills and mindsets for successful learning.

Children are scientists at heart—they are naturally curious, inquisitive, and creative. The collaboration between Head Start and JASON Learning will help children attain essential skills—creativity, observation, communication, and persistence—and reach their full potential.

The partnership will bring early childhood STEM discussions to the forefront in education systems and bring STEM and scientific thinking into Head Start classrooms nationwide. Learning that takes place before students enter kindergarten increases alignment between educators, guides, childcare providers, parents, and families. JASON’s approach builds confidence in STEM in students and early childhood providers and can help address equity issues in early childhood education.

NHSA is the voice for more than 1 million children, 280,000 staff, and approximately 1,700 Head Start grantees in the United States. Currently, JASON Learning reaches over 5 million students nationwide. Together, we will be of even greater service to students and educators nationwide by providing the best possible learning resources that will truly make a difference.
