(ASHBURN, VA) July 30th, 2023—JASON Learning, a nonprofit focused on STEM education, presented the esteemed “Leading By Example” award to Xandra Williams-Earlie, Program Director of High School Science for Aldine Independent School District (Aldine ISD) in Texas.
Aldine ISD, with a student population of approximately 62,000 and located on the north side of the greater Houston area, serves a community where 92% of students face economic disadvantages. Despite these challenges, Xandra Williams-Earlie’s exceptional leadership has transformed STEM education within the district.
This honor celebrates her unwavering dedication to her students, community, and the advancement of STEM education. Xandra’s outstanding leadership in integrating STEM learning across multiple subjects has not only enriched the educational experience but also empowered students to overcome barriers and pursue careers in STEM.

Xandra Williams-Earlie’s 46 years of dedicated service in public schools have significantly impacted science education throughout Texas. Her commitment to excellence in the field has earned her recognition as the President of the Texas Science Education Leadership Association, as well as the prestigious Outstanding Leadership in Science Education Award in 2020.
As an early adopter and passionate advocate of JASON Learning, Xandra has seamlessly integrated JASON’s innovative STEM resources into the curriculum, providing students in Aldine ISD with engaging and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
